Online Coaching
From frazzled to glowing — wherever you are.
Is this you?
You know you should be building muscle. You're just not sure where to start.
The gym feels intimidating. Work and family are relentless. Somewhere along the way you stopped putting yourself anywhere near the top of the list, and you'd quite like to find your spark again — you just don't know what the first step looks like, and you haven't got the headspace to work it out on your own.
That's who I coach. That's most of my clients, and honestly, that was me too.
What online coaching actually is
It's not an app full of workout videos you'll never watch.
It's not a PDF of somebody else's programme with your name typed on the front.
It's me coaching you properly — the same as I do with the women I see at Oriam — with the training happening in your time rather than in front of me. You get the programme, the thinking behind it, the accountability and the person on the other end of it. You just don't have to be in Edinburgh on a Tuesday morning.

How it actually works
1 / We have a proper chat first
Free, no obligation, about half an hour. Where you're at, what your week actually looks like, what you've tried before and why it didn't stick, and what you want. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help (and if not I will try to give you something useful anyway).
2 / We work out your goal - backwards
Rather than picking something vague and hoping, we start at the finish and work back. What does it look like when you've got there? What has to be true three months before that? A month before that? And then — what are you doing this week? It makes big goals feel a lot less like wishful thinking.
3 / I build your programme
Around your life, not around an ideal week that doesn't exist. Your equipment, your time, your body, your history. If you've got three days, we plan for three days. If you've got a set of dumbbells in the spare room, we use those.
4 / We agree what your week looks like
A short list of things to tick off — training, and a few other bits we've agreed matter. Achievable, not aspirational. The point is that you finish most weeks having done them, not feeling behind.
5 / Every week, a check-in
I send you a short form. It's slightly nosy on purpose — it asks about the things that actually move the needle, and it makes you think about how the week really went rather than how you'd like to remember it.
6 / Then we talk
A 30-minute call, the day after your form comes back — so I've read it and thought about it properly before we speak. We look at what worked, what didn't, and what we're changing. That's the bit that keeps it moving.
7 / Nutrition, when you're ready
Not on day one. Usually a few weeks in, once the training's become a habit and you've got room to think about it. And it's small sensible changes rather than a diet — meal plans if you want them, but more often just tweaks that fit the way you already eat.
8 / Then we keep going
Your programme gets rebuilt as you progress. We track things the way you want to track them — some people want numbers, some want photos, some just want to notice they're not knackered carrying the shopping. All of these things count.

What it Costs
What it isn't
I'd rather tell you now than have you find out in week three.
It isn't fast. Building strength takes months, not weeks, and anyone promising otherwise is selling something.
It isn't a meal plan you'll hate and abandon by Thursday.
It isn't me shouting at you. I'm on your side — but I will notice when you go quiet, and I will ask.
And it isn't for someone who wants to be left alone with a programme. If you don't want to talk to anybody, there are cheaper apps than me.
